Possible uses

Visits to doctors, hospital, labs, xray, therapists, dentists - it helps for all of these. Other uses: travel, sports teams, fitness programs, home nursing, day care, school, camp, caring for loved ones who are ill or elderly. Children's immunizations and growth records. Tracking cholesterol, blood sugar, home blood pressure, blood thinners, medications, any longterm health problems. Monitoring weight, pulse, fitness. And reliable records help you research your health. And HealthProfiler has a "library" module - find something on the Web (or anywhere else) and file it for later review.

I don't need to keep records, my doctor does it. Or maybe the hospital.
The surprising truth is this: no one has a complete record. The hospital keeps a record of what happened there. The doctor does the same. So does the physiotherapist, the public health nurse, the pharmacist and..... No wonder people sometimes wonder what's going on, or who's in charge. You can do yourself a favor by having a summary of your own.

Come on, in this hightech day and age there's a central record, somewhere!
No. Confidentiality, technical problems, and above all, the fragmentation of data, have prevented it. The day may come, but it's still a long way off.

I don't understand that medical stuff.
It's less technical than you think - you know a lot of it already. HealthProfiler organizes it, you fill in the blanks, much like answering questions when you go to the doctor. Plus we show you how to get addtional data you may need.

What if I make mistakes?
The chance of a mistake is far greater now: a practitioner who doesn't know you has to guess at details, and your own practitioner may have gaps in the record. And your Health Profile is not the official record - a practitoner always keeps a record, whether you do or not. But your Health Profile can be a big help to both of you.

I'm really healthy, so I don't need it.
It still helps to have a record. If your health changes, you're ahead of the game. And the sooner you collect information like Family History, Past History, Immunizations and so forth, the easier it is.
